Pop-rock trio Waterparks who celebrated their signing to 300 with the release of new single ‘Lowkey As Hell’ recently, are proud to announce the ‘SEE YOU IN THE FUTURE’ UK headline tour, their biggest to date on these shores.

Speaking of the tour, frontman Awsten Knight says, “At the end of 2019 and top of 2020 we were playing shows on the FANDOM Tour that were by far the biggest we’d done yet. Getting to conceptualise and build up production ourselves made it feel more huge and personal than any tour to date. However, during this time, we’ve had the opportunity to sit with show ideas and build out the concerts in ways we’d never even imagined before so I’m ready to start making all of that come to life. Also to be real, I’m really so f*cking tired of not playing shows. So come through! Stay safe, wear a mask, wash your hands, and we’ll see you in the future.”

The tour sees the Texans play the following cities:

24: BRISTOL o2 Academy
25: BIRMINGHAM, o2 Academy
26: LEEDS, o2 Academy
27: MANCHESTER, Academy
29: GLASGOW, o2 Academy
30: NOTTINGHAM, Rock City
01: LONDON, o2 Academy Brixton
04: AMSTERDAM, Melkweg
06: HAMBURG, Uebel & Gefährlich
07: BERLIN, Hole 44
08: WARSAW, Proxima
10: MUNICH, Feierwerk (Hansa 39)
11: COLOGNE, Essigfabrik

Tickets on sale Friday 23rd October 2020, 9am BST / 10am CEST

Speaking of the aforementioned FANDOM tour, the band have today announced the release of ‘FANDOM: LIVE IN THE UK’, the band’s first concert film and live album.
FANDOM: LIVE IN THE UK was recorded and filmed in January 2020 at the O2 Academy in Birmingham at a sold-out show on the FANDOM Tour. Executive producers Awsten Knight and Jawn Rocha utilised practical and special effects to create an other-worldly experience that is both exhilaratingly euphoric and inimitably intimate.
Awsten shares “I’ve always wanted Waterparks to have a live concert DVD because I used to love watching them from other bands so much. The thing is, I wanted to approach it differently and try to make it into more of an art piece rather than strictly documentation of a night. As a co-director, I wanted it to be like an IMAX Waterparks show but in an alternate universe and so every song is warped out and stylised to look how it feels to me while we’re performing. It took us 6 months of editing daily to create what we consider an innovative/abstract experience while still remaining cohesive and thoughtful. Order a physical copy when they drop because I designed the inside/outside of the packaging and it looks so tight, bless you and stay safe.”
FANDOM: LIVE IN THE UK is being released as a full live audio album and an HD concert film on November 27, 2020 on Hopeless Records. The release boasts a setlist featuring hit single ‘Dream Boy’ – which charted on US station Sirius XM Hits 1 and the US Pop Radio chart – and the ultra-rare mashup medleys of their previous albums, ‘Double Dare 2019’ and ‘Entertainment 2019’, amongst other fan favourites.

Waterparks never sit still. The Houston trio (completed by Otto Wood [drums] and Geoff Wigington [guitar]) manically move forward, shucking and jiving between fits of rock, alternative, and electronic with pop ambition and hip-hop’s bold and blatant disregard for the rules. In 2020, the boys only pick up the pace as they ready new music after signing a new deal with 300 Entertainment. Waterparks has garnered a cult following for their animated musical stylings. 2019’s FANDOM elevated them to new critical and commercial peaks. Marking a series of career bests, it landed at #2 on the Billboard Top Alternative Albums Chart, granting their first Top 40 debut on the Billboard Top 200. KERRANG! rated it “KKKK” and MTV admitted, “We have no choice but to stan.” As the band nears 200 million cumulative streams to date, it yielded fan favourites, including ‘I Miss Having Sex But At Least I Don’t Wanna Die Anymore,’ ‘Turbulent,’ and ‘Watch What Happens Next.’
